Sun standard counterbalance valves

0

Sun offers 4 sizes of cartridge capable of handling flows up to 480 lpm and pressures up to 350 bar.

Hardened poppet and seat

1

Hardened poppet and seat give good life even under arduous operating conditions.

New design of poppet and seat

A new design of poppet and seat is fitted as standard in series 1 (to be followed in other sizes) to produce quieter operation and longer life.

A large range of pilot ratios

1

A large range of pilot ratios from 1:1 up to 10:1.

Fluting arrangement on the inlet of the cartridge

1

A fluting arrangement on the inlet of the cartridge distributes the flow equally around the poppet.

Low hysteresis

1

Low hysteresis with reseat to a closed condition (leakage of less then 5 drops per minute) at 85% of cracking pressure.

Low flow versions

1

Low flow Series 1 cartridges are available for most pilot ratios that fit into series 1 cavity.

Bleed through pilot on most cartridges

1

A bleed through pilot on most cartridges prevents air being trapped in the pilot line, but sealed pilots available for low flow applications.

Manual over-ride

1

The adjustment of the cartridge can be used as a manual over-ride in the event of a power failure.

Vent to atmosphere version

1

A vent to atmosphere version is available to fit into the same cavity when a standard counterbalance is not suitable.

A version is available with no pilot

1

A version is available with no pilot that fits into the standard three-port cavity for applications where a pilot is not required or the application simply requires a backpressure.

Four port vented version

1

A four port vented version is available with a separate drain port where the vent to atmosphere is not acceptable due to the environment.
