1. Increase the supply pressure until the load starts to move. Supply pressure must be equal or greater than the load pressure to move the cylinder.
2. Click the yellow arrow buttons to change the cylinder area. Adjust the pressure again to find the point at which the cylinder moves.
3. Add a variable orifice into the circuit. Change the size of the orifice but note how the pressure drop across it does not change unless the cylinder is moving and there is flow through the orifice.
4. Record the cylinder measurements from a system you know and enter the values into the edit boxes to help understand your loads.
