Level 1 is for new students e.g. people who don't know what hydraulics does or the basics of how it works. It provides examples of fluid power and introduces the basic components and how they are combined in a circuit to work.
Level 2 is for people who purchase hydraulic equipment and need to know about the different products and why certain features are required.
Level 3 is for pipe fitters and operators who need to work safely, read operating instructions, instrument gauges and circuit drawings to identify components, equipment, or fitting types etc. (CETOP Level 1). People who manage hydraulic systems or workers should also understand the subject to at least this level.
Level 4 is for people who perform basic maintentance of hydraulic equipment and be safe to replace identical valves and make routine adjustments. (CETOP Level 2)
Level 5 is for maintenance technicians who need detailed component knowledge to identify issues and resolve problems quickly and effectively. (CETOP Level 3)
Level 6 is for engineers who design or update hydraulic equipment. This will include strategies for different types of system along with understanding the benefits or issues that different circuit design configurations might bring.
Our courses support the CETOP, BFPA passport, IFPS and BTEC qualifications. All of these courses currently require in-house classroom attendance although the e4raining.com resources are used to support lessons and provide additional distance learning exercises. Course providers will assign the coursework required from our full comparison list here. Please see the suggested exercises at the end of this page.
Courses can be used to support the BFPA passport, CETOP, IFPS or BTEC in-house qualifications, or as stand-alone courses with certificates for work completed.
Training resources can be followed individually or used by companies as part of their staff training. Pricing and signup here or ask about a multi-user license here.
These worksheets will guide you through a range of online exercises that will teach you about the principles, planning, components, design and maintenance of an example hydraulic system.
The course is aimed at people working in the fluid power industry including purchasing, operating and maintaining hydraulic systems.
